The short version

Our verdict: Luvo

Luvr AI is a different product from Luvo and the names are close enough that people arrive here having meant the other one. If you were looking for Luvr AI, this page will tell you what they charge, honestly.

They publish their coin costs, which is rare and good: unlock a character 50 coins, generate an image 50, audio message 20, video 150. Their twelve-month plan is $5.99 a month with 2,340 coins, so about 46 images a month at roughly 13 cents each. The six-month plan is $8.99 with 1,900 coins — 38 images, about 24 cents each.

Luvo Plus annual is $7.99 for 160 photographs, about 5 cents. On price per image we are two to five times cheaper, and the reason is structural rather than clever: they charge 50 coins for a picture and 50 to meet a new girl, and we charge one credit for a picture and nothing to meet anybody.

  • The image counts are computed from their two published numbers: the plan's monthly coins, divided by the 50 coins their own price list charges for an image. 2,340 coins is 46 images and change; the table rounds down.
  • The two pack rows are one-off purchases, not subscriptions, and the table marks them. They are here because a pack is how you actually buy more once the plan runs out, and the pack rate is what an extra picture really costs.
  • Their $19.99 month-to-month rate is shown on their page as the struck-through comparison price. We could not read a coin allowance attached to it, so it is not in the table.

What free gets you

Luvr AI has a free signup. What it grants was not legible from the plan page, and their coin balance display starts at zero for a signed-out visitor.

The published price list, and what it costs to meet somebody

Their coin pricing block is the best thing on their site: unlock a character 50, generate an image 50, audio message 20, video generation 150. Four numbers, printed, no account needed. Most of this category will not tell you any of that until you have paid.

The number that stands out is 50 coins to unlock a character — the same as a photograph. On the $5.99 plan that is one of your forty-six pictures spent before she has said anything, and it is charged again for the next one. Luvo charges nothing to create a girl; Plus lets you keep five and Premium as many as you like.

Their video at 150 coins is three images, which is exactly our ratio — a video is three credits on Luvo. Two products landing on the same multiple independently is mildly reassuring about both of them.

Plan coins against pack coins

A 500-coin pack is $4.99, which is a cent a coin, so an image bought that way is about fifty cents. The largest pack, 13,300 coins for $99.99, brings that to about 38 cents. The twelve-month plan is far better value than either — 2,340 coins for $5.99 works out at a quarter of a cent a coin.

That ordering is the right way round and worth noting: their subscription is much cheaper per coin than their packs, so the plan is the honest deal and the pack is the convenience. Ours is ordered the same way, deliberately — committing is the best price in the product, a pack sits in the middle, and paying month to month is the dearest.

It also means the useful comparison is plan against plan, which is the one at the top of this page: about 13 cents an image against our 5.

The name

Luvr AI and Luvo are different companies with no relationship. We are not going to pretend the similarity is a coincidence of the alphabet — there are a lot of four and five letter names in this category and several of them collide.

If you are trying to work out which one you signed up to, the descriptor on your statement is the fastest way. If you are trying to work out which one to sign up to, the arithmetic above is ours and their coin price list is theirs, and both are open to checking.

Where Luvr AI is better

They publish their per-action prices without an account. We publish ours on the pricing page, which is the same standard, but a lot of this category does neither and they should get the credit.

Audio messages at 20 coins — and against their own 50-coin image that is two fifths of a picture, where our voice note costs exactly what a picture costs. They price speech as the cheaper thing and we do not.

A six-month term, which is a rung we do not offer — our ladder jumps from three months to twelve.

Their twelve-month monthly rate, $5.99, is lower than any rung we sell.

What we could not check

Every one of these products puts its checkout behind a signup. Where a number was not readable without an account, it is listed here rather than taken from a review site that earns a commission on the answer.

  • The free tier's contents.
  • The coin allowance on their month-to-month plan.
  • Whether the six and twelve month terms renew at the same rate.

Those four cost four credits. Run the same test on Luvr AI — both products have a free tier — and put the faces side by side. If ours does not hold up, none of the arithmetic above matters and you should ignore this page.

Method

Plan prices, coin allowances and the coin price list were read off luvr.ai on the date above from a signed-out browser.

Images per month are their coins divided by their published 50-coin image price, rounded down. No other conversion is applied.

Our own figures on every page in this set are mirrored from the file the product bills from, and a server test fails the build if a page and that file disagree. Being wrong about our own prices, on the pages arguing about prices, is the one mistake that costs more than these pages can earn back.
