Luvo AI vs Candy AI

Every figure checked 20 August 2026 · EverAI Limited, Malta — the charge on your statement reads EverAI

The short version

Our verdict: it depends

If what you want is photographs of one woman who stays the same woman, Luvo is cheaper per photo on every equivalent term and does not ask you to do arithmetic before you press the button. Their entry plan buys 50 images a month. Ours buys 100 for slightly less money, and 160 if you commit for a year.

If what you want is a character library with fifty million people's worth of history in it, or a company that has been doing this longer than we have, Candy AI is the better buy today. We are not going to pretend otherwise — you can check every number below, and a page that only flattered us would not be worth checking.

What a month costs, per photograph

PlanPer monthPhotosEach
Candy AI Premium, monthly€13.99$15.1150$0.302
Candy AI Premium, annual€3.99, billed for 12 months$4.3150$0.086
Candy AI Premium Plus, annual€18.00, billed for 12 months$19.44165$0.118
Luvo Plus, monthly$14.99100$0.150
Luvo Plus, annual$7.99160$0.050
Luvo Premium, annual$18.99400$0.047
  • Their prices are in euros and converted at 1.08 — an assumption, not a quote. Your card will do its own conversion and charge you for doing it.
  • Their headline €3.99 is a twelve-month price, not a monthly one. Comparing it against a month-to-month plan is the comparison their shopfront invites and it is not an honest one, so the table puts annual against annual and monthly against monthly.
  • A photo is one credit on Luvo whatever it is of, and a video is three. There is no second model that costs double.

What free gets you

Candy AI gives new accounts a one-off allowance of tokens to try the product. It is a welcome grant rather than a monthly one, so it runs out exactly when you have decided you like it, which is what a welcome grant is for.

On your statement

EverAI

Candy AI is operated by EverAI Limited, and EverAI is what a card statement shows — not Candy, and not anything that says what the charge was for. It is discreet by design and it is also why people end up searching the descriptor: an unfamiliar line on a statement reads as fraud until you can name it.

What a token actually buys

Candy AI sells tokens, and a token is not a photograph. An image costs 2 tokens on their V1 model and 4 on V2. Their Premium plan is 100 tokens a month, so the honest way to read it is 50 photographs — or 25, if you use the better model, which is the one you will want. A voice message is 0.2 tokens and a call is 3 a minute, out of the same hundred — so a half-hour call is 90 tokens, which is most of a month.

Ours is a credit a minute, the same credit a photograph costs, billed per minute started with the price on the button before you press it and the running total on screen while you talk. It needs a paid plan; the free tier is for meeting her. And it shows her face rather than a waveform, though the clip is a loop and not lip-sync, and we would rather say so here than let you find out.

That is the complaint the reviews keep making about this category and it is not really about the price. It is that you cannot answer "what does this cost me" without opening a table first, and the answer changes depending on which model you picked, whether you sent a voice note, and how long you were on the call. A budget you have to look up is a budget you cannot feel.

Luvo has one unit. A photo is one credit, a voice note is one credit, a video is three, chat is free and always will be. Nothing costs double on a better model, because there is no worse one to save money with. The exchange rate is printed on the pricing page rather than hidden behind a dropdown, which is a low bar that the category mostly fails to clear.

Voice is the honest test of that rule, because it is where a whole number costs us something. Their 0.2-token voice message is a tenth of their image; ours is a note that costs exactly what a photograph costs. Somebody who mostly wants to hear her gets more for their money on Candy, and the reason we did not price a fifth of a credit is that there is no such thing as a fifth of a credit here.

Per photograph, on comparable terms

Month to month, their Premium works out at about $0.30 a photograph and Luvo Plus at $0.15 — twice the pictures for slightly less money. On a twelve-month commitment theirs comes down to about $0.086 and ours to $0.050, so the gap narrows but does not close.

Their Premium Plus is the interesting comparison, because it is the plan somebody who actually generates images ends up on. At $19.44 a month on a twelve-month term it buys 165 photographs, about $0.118 each. Luvo Premium on the same term is $18.99 for 400, about $0.047. That is the honest headline: at roughly the same money, two and a half times the photographs.

None of this makes their product bad. It makes their pricing a token economy, and token economies are priced to be difficult to compare. That is the whole reason this page has a table in it.

The thing to actually test

Price is the easy argument and it is not the one that matters most. The reason people leave these products is that the woman in the second photograph is not the woman in the first — same prompt, same settings, different face. You notice it immediately and it breaks the only thing the product was selling.

Luvo builds her face once and every subsequent image is an edit of that person rather than a fresh roll of the dice. That is why a photo costs what it costs: after her first one, every render is doing more work, not less.

Do not take our word for it. Both products have a free tier. Make the same woman on both, put her in three different outfits and three different rooms, and look at the faces side by side. If ours does not hold up, none of the arithmetic above matters and you should ignore this page.

What free actually gets you

Luvo's free tier is 10 credits a month, one girl, and unlimited chat, renewed every month rather than granted once. There is no card, and there is no welcome bonus designed to run out the moment you are interested — the free month is the whole of it, and it comes back next month. A credit is a photograph or a voice note, so a free account can hear her without paying anything.

Ten photographs is enough to make a woman, shoot her a few ways and have a conversation, which is exactly what it is sized for. It is not enough to use the product properly, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.

Where Candy AI is better

Voice, in both directions and far more of it. A voice message costs them 0.2 tokens where an image costs 2, so a 100-token month is 500 spoken replies or 50 photographs. We have voice notes now — one credit, any message she has sent, on every tier including the free one — but a credit is also what a photograph costs, so the same hundred buys 100 notes rather than 500. Five times the spoken replies for the same money is a real advantage and we do not have an answer to it. Calls are no longer on this list — we take those now — but their voice messages still are.

They have scale, and scale is a feature here. Fifty million accounts means a character library with real depth to browse, and years of other people's use behind the models. A new product cannot fake that and we are not going to try.

Their Premium Plus adds things we simply do not have: user personas, chat customisation, 20 memory slots against our single running memory, cloned chats. If those are what you came for, the comparison ends there and they win it.

And they are an established company with a payment history. We are new. That is a real reason to be cautious with a twelve-month commitment, on any product, including this one.

What we could not check

Every one of these products puts its checkout behind a signup. Where a number was not readable without an account, it is listed here rather than taken from a review site that earns a commission on the answer.

  • As of 30 August 2026 candy.ai shows no price to a signed-out browser — the plans are behind the registration modal. The euro figures above were read off their shopfront on 20 August and we have left the earlier date on them rather than restamping numbers we could not re-open.
  • We have not put a card through their checkout, so the renewal price after the first twelve-month term is not something we can state.

Same girl, anywhere

Four shoots of Vera — different clothes, different city, different weather. Nothing re-rolled: every one is an edit of the first.

vera · neon street in the rain
3am, in the rain
vera · off-shoulder knit, hotel bar
the hotel bar
vera · slip dress, windy balcony
balcony, golden hour
vera · knitwear, falling snow
the last train home

Those four cost four credits. Run the same test on Candy AI — both products have a free tier — and put the faces side by side. If ours does not hold up, none of the arithmetic above matters and you should ignore this page.

Candy AI against the others

Head-to-heads we are not in. Same rules, and the verdict names one of the two.

Method

Their figures were read off candy.ai's own pricing page and checked on the date above. Ours come from the same file the product bills from, so they cannot drift from what you would actually be charged.

Euro prices are converted at 1.08 for comparison only. Token-to-image maths uses their V1 model at 2 tokens an image, which is the reading most favourable to them — V2 costs 4 and halves every image count in the table.

If a number here is out of date, it is a mistake rather than a tactic, and we would like to know. Prices in this category move, and this page is only worth reading if it moves too.

Our own figures on every page in this set are mirrored from the file the product bills from, and a server test fails the build if a page and that file disagree. Being wrong about our own prices, on the pages arguing about prices, is the one mistake that costs more than these pages can earn back.
