The short version

Our verdict: Luvo

LusyChat sells coins and, unusually, publishes what everything costs: a message is 5 coins, a member message 8, an auto reply 2, an inner thought 5, a generated voice 5, an image 30, a video 200.

Their smallest pack is 1,500 coins for $9.99, which puts an image at about 20 cents. The largest, 100,000 for $199.99, brings it to about 6 cents. Luvo Plus annual is 160 photographs for $7.99 — about 5 cents — and Premium annual is 4.7.

So we are cheaper per picture, and the gap narrows a lot if you buy two hundred dollars of their currency at once. What is worth more than either figure is that they printed the table at all: it is the only way a reader can do this arithmetic without a card.

  • Their rows are one-off coin packs, not subscriptions, and the table marks them. The dollar figure is what you hand over once; ours recurs monthly.
  • Image counts are their pack size divided by the 30 coins their own consumption table charges for an image, ignoring everything else you would spend coins on. A month where you also talk produces fewer images than that.
  • First purchases are doubled — their page shows "1500 x 2 = 3000" for a first-time buyer — which halves the effective first-pack price. That is a one-off and it is not in the table.

What free gets you

LusyChat gives new accounts a starting coin balance and free messages on their basic models. Their tier list shows basic-model messages as free on the Deluxe tier and half price on Premium, so the free chat depends on which model you are talking to.

On your statement

not named on their site

Their coin page carries the line "No adult transaction in your bank statement". Same shape as most of this category: the promise is made and the string is not printed, so you learn the descriptor from the statement rather than before it.

The consumption table, and why it is the right thing to publish

Message 5, member message 8, auto reply 2, inner thought 5, generate voice 5, generate image 30, generate video 200. Seven numbers on one page, no account needed.

With the pack prices next to it, that is enough for anybody to work out what their own usage would cost before spending anything — which is the entire thing this category usually withholds. Seven of the twenty-one products compared in this set publish enough to do that arithmetic. LusyChat is one of them.

The ratios are also sane: an image is six messages and a video is about seven images. Ours are one credit and three, so a video is three images rather than seven. Different hardware, different answer, and both are defensible.

Buying in bulk, and what that does to the price

$9.99 for 1,500 coins is two thirds of a cent a coin. $199.99 for 100,000 is a fifth of a cent. That is a threefold difference in unit price between the smallest and largest purchase of the same thing, which is a steep bulk curve by any standard.

It means the advertised entry price is not the price a heavy user pays, in either direction: a casual buyer pays 20 cents an image and somebody who drops two hundred dollars pays 6. A single comparison figure for this product does not exist.

Ours moves too, and much less: the annual rung is about 5 cents a photograph and month to month is 15, with top-up packs between the two. The spread is three to one on ours as well — so this is a criticism we should be careful about making, and the honest version is that both products reward commitment and neither has one price.

Where LusyChat is better

They publish a full per-action consumption table without an account. We publish credit costs on the pricing page, which is the same standard — but they price seven actions and we price three.

Inner-thought and auto-reply mechanics we have nothing equivalent to. And their voice is the cheaper thing in their own economy — 5 coins against 30 for an image, a sixth of a picture, where ours costs a whole one.

A doubled first purchase, which makes trying the paid product genuinely cheap.

At the largest pack, coins are cheap enough that a very heavy image user gets close to our rate without any commitment at all.

What we could not check

Every one of these products puts its checkout behind a signup. Where a number was not readable without an account, it is listed here rather than taken from a review site that earns a commission on the answer.

  • The billing descriptor.
  • Whether a subscription exists alongside the coin packs, and what it grants.
  • Whether coins expire.

Same girl, anywhere

Four shoots of Vera — different clothes, different city, different weather. Nothing re-rolled: every one is an edit of the first.

Those four cost four credits. Run the same test on LusyChat — both products have a free tier — and put the faces side by side. If ours does not hold up, none of the arithmetic above matters and you should ignore this page.

Method

Pack prices and the consumption table were read off lusychat.ai on the date above from a signed-out browser. The redirect from hotchat.ai was confirmed by requesting it directly.

Image counts are pack size divided by their published 30-coin image price, rounded down.

Our own figures on every page in this set are mirrored from the file the product bills from, and a server test fails the build if a page and that file disagree. Being wrong about our own prices, on the pages arguing about prices, is the one mistake that costs more than these pages can earn back.
