The short version
Our verdict: it dependsOurDream Premium is $9.99 a month billed annually at $119.88, or $19.99 month to month. Deluxe is $29.99 billed at $359.88, or $59.99. Both include unlimited messages, which is the same position we take on chat.
The allowance is 1,000 DreamCoins a month on Premium and 5,000 on Deluxe, plus 20 or 100 minutes of voice calls and 10 or 50 videos. What a coin costs per image is not on the upgrade page, so there is no price-per-image column here — the video and voice allowances are stated and the image one is not.
Against Luvo: their annual Premium at $9.99 sits between our Plus annual at $7.99 and our Premium annual at $18.99. They bundle a fixed number of voice minutes; we meter calls at a credit a minute out of the same balance everything else comes from, so twenty of their minutes is twenty of our credits and the rest of the allowance is still yours. Which is better depends entirely on whether you use them.

There is no price-per-unit column on this page, and that is deliberate: OurDream AI publishes an allowance and never publishes what it buys. Dividing money by an allowance whose exchange rate is unstated produces a confident number about nothing.
- Coins and credits are different units and the allowance column is not a comparison. Ours is 160 photographs; theirs is 1,000 coins of unstated purchasing power.
- Their annual plans also grant a one-off bonus — 1,000 coins on Premium, 5,000 on Deluxe — in the first month only. That is a signup bonus, so it is not in the table.
- The monthly prices are the crossed-out figures on their own toggle. They are what you pay if you decline the annual term.
What free gets you
OurDream has a free account with limited access. The upgrade page is where the numbers are, and it describes the paid tiers rather than the free one.
Unlimited messages, metered pictures
Both paid tiers say "unlimited messages" and "unlimited audio messages", and meter images, video and voice calls out of a coin balance. That is the same split we make, and it is the right one: text is the cheapest thing either of us does and the reason anybody comes back the next day.
Where the two products differ is what happens when the meter runs out. Their FAQ has a question titled "What happens if I run out of Dreamcoins?" and another titled "Do unused Dreamcoins roll over to the next month?" — both collapsed on the page we read. Ours: allowance does not roll over, purchased credits never expire, and chat keeps working either way.
The published video allowance is the useful number on their side. Ten videos a month on Premium and fifty on Deluxe, stated as videos rather than as coins. Ours is three credits a video, so a 160-credit annual month is 53 videos if you spend it all there.
What fifty million users is worth
Their upgrade page says "Trusted by over 50m users". We have no way to check that figure and we are not going to argue with it — what we would say is what it buys the person reading this.
It buys a character library with real depth, a moderated community publishing into it, and models with a lot of other people's use behind them. Those are genuine advantages and a two-week-old product cannot manufacture any of them.
It does not buy a lower price per photograph, and it is not evidence about whether your companion looks the same in her fortieth picture as in her first. Scale and consistency are different properties, and only one of them is testable in an evening on a free tier.
Where OurDream AI is better
Voice calls, priced in minutes and included in the plan — 20 a month on Premium, 100 on Deluxe. We have voice notes and no calls, so on this one they are not slightly ahead, they are the only one of the two who does it.
A stated video allowance and, on Deluxe, premium chat models and triple the chat memory. Our memory is a single running summary.
Users can publish their own characters into the library, which is a whole content engine we do not have.
Scale, and everything that comes with it: a support queue, a Discord, a moderation team and a payment history.
What we could not check
Every one of these products puts its checkout behind a signup. Where a number was not readable without an account, it is listed here rather than taken from a review site that earns a commission on the answer.
- What a DreamCoin buys. The upgrade page prices videos and voice minutes and never prices an image, so no per-image comparison appears here.
- Whether coins roll over. Their FAQ has the question; the answer did not open to us.
- The renewal price after the first annual term.
