The short version

Our verdict: Luvo

ClipMode is the closest product in this set to what we are actually doing: you train a model of one person once, and every image afterwards is of that person. "Train once, create forever" is their line and it is the right idea.

They price it in credits with the per-image cost printed on the page: $10 buys images at 20 cents each, $25 brings it to 12.5 cents, $50 to 10 cents, and 5,000 credits for $300 is the largest pack. ClipMode Club is $50 a month, billed $600 annually, and includes free model renewals and member discounts.

Luvo Plus annual is about 5 cents a photograph and month to month is 15. So we are between two and four times cheaper per image than their pack pricing — but they are a training tool with a per-model workflow and we are a companion app, and a page that pretended those were the same purchase would be wrong.

  • The image counts on their pack rows are computed from their own printed per-image prices — $0.20, $0.125 and $0.10 — rather than from a credit conversion. Those figures are on their pricing page next to each pack.
  • The three pack rows are one-off purchases and the table marks them; credits do not expire. The Club row is a monthly subscription.
  • The Club row's image count is our assumption that it grants the same value as the $50 pack. Their page describes the Club in terms of free model renewals and discounts rather than a credit grant, so treat that row as the shape of the offer rather than as a quoted number.

What free gets you

Three credits, no card — enough to see the output before deciding. They state it plainly on the front page. Ours is ten credits a month, renewed, which is a different shape: theirs is a taste, ours is a small ongoing allowance.

The same thesis, priced differently

Almost every product in this comparison set generates a fresh image from a prompt each time, and the woman drifts. ClipMode and Luvo both do the harder thing: fix the person first, then treat every subsequent image as a render of her rather than a new roll.

That approach costs more per image and both of our price lists show it. Their cheapest pack is 20 cents a picture; ours is 15 cents if you pay month to month. Compare either with a prompt-to-image product at two cents and the gap is the work being done.

Where the products diverge is what surrounds the render. ClipMode is a tool: train a model, generate, buy more credits. Luvo is a companion app — she has a chat, a memory, a wardrobe and a page of her own — and the render is one thing she does. Neither is a better version of the other.

Packs against subscriptions

ClipMode sells credits that never expire, in packs, with the per-image price falling as the pack grows: 20 cents, 12.5, 10. There is no obligation and nothing renews unless you join the Club.

That is a genuinely better structure for somebody who generates in bursts — a weekend of work every couple of months, then nothing. On a subscription that person pays for four empty months; on packs they pay for what they use.

It is worse for somebody who generates steadily, because the subscription rate is lower. Our own packs are priced above our annual rate and below our monthly one for exactly this reason: committing is the best price, a pack is the convenient one, and refusing to commit is the dearest. ClipMode has removed the first of those three and kept the other two.

The rename

deepmode.ai now redirects to clipmode.ai. If you had credits or a trained model under the old name, that is the same company.

This is the third rename in this comparison set — GirlfriendGPT to Infatuated, HotChat to LusyChat, DeepMode to ClipMode — which is worth noticing as a pattern rather than as three coincidences. Names in this category change often, and the practical consequence for a buyer is that the descriptor on your statement and the company in your inbox may not match the app on your phone.

Where ClipMode is better

Credits that never expire, bought in packs with no subscription at all. Our allowance expires monthly; only purchased top-ups carry over.

They print the per-image price next to every pack. We print a credit price and let you do one division — theirs is the shorter path.

Explicit model training as a first-class step, with model renewals bundled into the Club. Our version of the same idea is automatic and invisible, which is friendlier but gives you less control.

A free trial that needs no card and no month — three credits, generate, decide.

What we could not check

Every one of these products puts its checkout behind a signup. Where a number was not readable without an account, it is listed here rather than taken from a review site that earns a commission on the answer.

  • What the Club grants in credits, as against discounts and renewals.
  • How many credits an image costs, as opposed to what it costs in dollars — the two are related by a rate we did not see printed.
  • Video pricing, which the front page mentions and the pack list does not break out.

Same girl, anywhere

Four shoots of Vera — different clothes, different city, different weather. Nothing re-rolled: every one is an edit of the first.

Those four cost four credits. Run the same test on ClipMode — both products have a free tier — and put the faces side by side. If ours does not hold up, none of the arithmetic above matters and you should ignore this page.

Method

Pack prices, per-image prices and the Club rate were read off clipmode.ai on the date above from a signed-out browser. The redirect from deepmode.ai was confirmed by requesting it directly.

Image counts on the pack rows are the pack price divided by their own printed per-image figure.

Our own figures on every page in this set are mirrored from the file the product bills from, and a server test fails the build if a page and that file disagree. Being wrong about our own prices, on the pages arguing about prices, is the one mistake that costs more than these pages can earn back.
